Community Action Program

     As you know, NewWave Consulting, Inc. prides itself in high quality work and excellent customer service. What you may not know, is that we also strive to give back, not only to the community, but to the world around us. We started by reducing plastic bag pollution through our 2005 canvas grocery bag program and continued our push for the environment with our energy-saving fluorescent light bulb program. We will continue this type of program during the holiday seasons with new and innovative ways to help the environment. In addition, we encourage our staff to involve themselves in other volunteer work through PTO and other incentives. Last year, for the first time, NewWave Consulting sponsored a team at the annual Step Out Walk for the American Diabetes Association. Our amazing team raised over $6000!  We are participating again this year and have raised our goal to $7500.  We are counting on your support!

      We are currently organizing our team for this important walk. More than 20 million children and adults in the US have diabetes.  That’s over 7% of the population! South Carolina alone has over 300,000 people who suffer from diabetes.  Each day, more than 2,200 people learn they have diabetes!  An additional 42 million have pre-diabetes. And 1 in 3 children will develop diabetes at some point in their life! Those are staggering statistics!

     YOU CAN HELP by participating with NewWave Consulting’s team in the Upstate Step Out to Fight Diabetes Walk on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Millennium Campus in Greenville! Make a difference by walking with us or making a contribution online. The logo for the Walk says “1DAY│1CAUSE│1GOAL”.  Amazing--this one Saturday morning can change the lives of over 20 million people!!  

     Please join us as we change lives while supporting the ADA’s mission:  to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
